She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence L. Scheideler and Mary Margaret Scheideler (Cox); her former husband Wendell "Butch" Pien; her grandson Kendell R. Copus; her sister Patricia; and her brother-in-law Ned Weiss.

She is survived by: her children, Tina Judd (Kenny), Shelly Davis (James), Carolyn Taylor (Dewey), Monique Copus (Steve) and Tonya Brown (Adam); and her husband Richard Nelson. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that a tree be purchased and planted in Marcella's memory.
