He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Simpson and Effie Simpson; his wife Shirley Barger; his son Albert Simpson; his grandchildren, Casey and Elysia Simpson; and his siblings, Robert, Frank, Albert Simpson, May Small, Evelyn Glass and Rose Valley.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Simpson of Weyerhaeuser and Carol Woodmansee of Bruce. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
