She was predeceased by: her adoptive mother Elena Diedrich (Helen); her husband Jerry Schmidt; her son Mike Schmidt; and her parents, Helen Diedrich and Edward Diedrich.

She is survived by: her children, Jeri Smith (Cory), Vicki Bleser (Rich) and Sandi Bieneman (Bob); her grandchildren, Ashley Mankowski (Andy), Noah Smith, Bailey Bleser, Kieran Bieneman and Landon Bieneman; and her great grandchildren, Evy Mankowski, Rudy Mankowski and Teddy Mankowski. She is also survived by her family, raising four children.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Honey Creek Civic Club and Aurora Health Care would be greatly appreciated.
