He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia Short; his siblings, Paul Short and Diane Mahanty; his brother-in-law Graydon Krapohl; and his father-in-law Andrew Krapohl.
He is survived by: his father Alonzo "Pete" Short; his wife Tracy Short (Krapohl); his children, Lindsay Schroeder (Denny), Ryan Short (Megan) and Hayley Warden (Taylor); his grandchildren, James Schroeder and Tate Schroeder; his sisters, Debra Campbell (David), Sue Mycko (Ernest), Beverly Sugarbaker (Daniel) and Marilyn Meyer (Brent); his mother-in-law Patricia Averill Krapohl; and his in-laws, Walter Krapohl, Kelly Krapohl, Kaye Krapohl, Greta Krapohl and Profulla Mahanty. He is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home (625 Browns Lake Dr, Burlington, WI 53105). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 27th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
