He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel McCarthy and Shirley McCarthy Sr.. He is survived by: his son Ryan Webster (Lindsay); his granddaughters, Natalie, Eleanor and Rhiannon; and his siblings, Daniel (Tamara) of Arizona, Peter (Kimberly) of Milwaukee, Patrick (Kelli) of California, Catherine of Milwaukee, Janet of Milwaukee, Colleen Regner of Muskego, Mary Schuerman (Ed) of Burlington and Julie of Burlington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SETI Institute, 339 Bernardo Ave., Suite 200, Mountain View, CA 94043.
