David touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Backhaus and Carry Backhaus (Gilles). He is survived by: his wife Cindy A. Backhaus; his sisters, Lynn Schneider and Brenda Nennig (Jim); and his stepdaughters, Ann Lato, Hope Elmhorst (Luke), Tiffany Hakes (Joe) and Jennifer Hakes (Chris). He is also survived by 13 step grandchildren; 1 step great grandson.
