He was predeceased by: his parents, Nickolai Tormoen and Viola Tormoen (Kruger); his brothers, Nick and George; and his sister-in-law Mary.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his children, James Tormoen (Denise) of Kendall, Jon Tormoen (Teri) of Kendall, Jerrilynn Kraus (Tim) of Tomah, Joleen Stanton (Rob) of New Lisbon, Julie Oleson (Brent) of Camp Douglas and Jean Marten (Jeff) of Wilton; his sisters-in-law, Linda Hopfensperger (Andy) and Sharon Drangstveiet (Mike); and his grandchildren, Amy (Kris), Ted (Sam), Tessa (Colin), AJ, Logan (Britney), Jerry (Sandra), Jeffrey (Caitlyn), Kristen (William), Katrina (Matthew), Brianna (Jeremiah), Ben (Amanda), Eric (Stacy), Zach (Peyton), Stephanie (Jay), Josh (Alexa) and Justin (Amanda). He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
