He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Averbeck and Ernst Averbeck. He is survived by: his wife Susan Averbeck; his children, Joshua Averbeck (Lora) and Alexis Toby (Kevan); and his grandsons, Colton and Dominic Toby.
