He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Burg and Francis Burg (Berres); and his siblings, Edward Burg and Marie Neu. He is survived by: his children, Shelly Birenbaum (Jeff), Eileen Burg, Christine Burg and Marvin Jr. Burg (Erin); and his sisters, Donna Schoeder (Donald "Red"), Francis "Cookie" Gries, Rita Van Treeck and Judy Prom. He is also survived by 13 Grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marvin's name.
