He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton Dirkse and Adrianna Dirkse (Buyze); his siblings, Bob "Brownie" Dirkse, Mark Dirkse and Marianne Hinz; and his siblings-in-law, Ted Vanderveen, Mark Wynveen and Patty Wynveen.
He is survived by: his wife Marge; his children, Ann Canzoneri (Michael) and Robert Dirkse (Kelly); his grandchildren, David Canzoneri (Jordan), Paul Canzoneri, Sarah Canzoneri, Hannah Garside (Zachary), Matthew Dirkse (Lillian), Molly Piersma (Seth) and Elizabeth Salisbury (Eric); his great grandchildren, Elijah, Rachel Garside, Teagan Dirkse and Willem Piersma; his sister Joan Vanderveen; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Dirkse, Diana Dirkse, Judi TenHaken (Gary), Don Hinz, Calvin Wynveen (Vonnie), Lowell Wynveen and Bob Wynveen (Kathy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
