He was predeceased by: his parents, James Asplin and Ester Asplin; his sister Darlene Daley; and his parents-in-law, Herbert and Teresa Bonn.
He is survived by: his wife Marion Asplin; his children, Scott Asplin (Renell), Tim Asplin (Jayne) and Lisa Hirst (Matt); and his grandchildren, Jake Asplin, Holly Daul, Megan Theisen, Jordan Asplin, Taylor Hirst, Jaden Asplin, Cody Asplin and Colby Hirst.
