He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman LaNou and Joyce LaNou (Metzenbauer); his sister Cindy; his in-laws, Donna and Jack Stromwall; and his brother-in-law John Stromwall (Albert).

He is survived by: his pet Albert; his wife Laurie; his children, Andy, Ashley Miller (Robert) and Samantha (Matt Immerman); his grandchildren, Gabriel, Grace Rodriguez and Caleb Iversen; his siblings, Bob (Mary), Connie (Pong Phoneprasert) and Vickie; his siblings-in-law, Gary Hubbard, Dick Stromwall (Jane) and Layne Stromwall (Gerry Hess); his friends, Jim Fletty and Brian Freid; and his caregiver Keisha.

Memorials can be directed to any Humane Society or Animal Rescue in honor of Mike's love for animals.
