He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Michels and Christina Michels; and his siblings, Leonard Herbert (Ann Schindler), Herman (Margaret Zwiefelhofer), Albert (Anna Schmidt), Sylvan (Bernadine Leow), Marie (Frank Pecha), Mildred Jerome (Otto Beranek), Marcella (Joseph Pecha) and Margaret (Roland Schneider).
He is survived by: his wife Marian; and his children, Marilyn (Mike Derpinghaus), Peter, Paul (Suzanne Robey), Patrick (Pam Sikora), Robert (Debbie Faschingbauer), Christine, Marlene (Vincent Millevolte), Mary (Cary Hamman), Mark (Trish Carney), Ann (Tom Jaroski) and Nicholas. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (11358 County Hwy Q, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Basil's honor may be directed to St. Peter's.
