He was predeceased by : his parents, James B. LaVelle and Nancy L. LaVelle (Ford); his brother-in-law Scott Kinderman; and his niece Jessica Kinderman. He is survived by : his children, Chelsey and Tanner; his granddaughters, Aubree, Averie and Hadlee; his siblings, Daniel LaVelle (Julie) and Jimette Kinderman; his nieces and nephews, Diana Kalepp (Nathan), Dena Behm (Brian), Jamie LaVelle, Mitchell LaVelle (Maggie Burgess), Justin LaVelle (Andrea Palas), Tyler Kinderman (Kim Jablowski) and Tory Kinderman; his stepson Zach Moulton; his stepgranddaughter Amelia Volrath; his parents-in-law, Diane, Bruce Heuer, Lee Martinek, Randy and Stephanie Martinek; his pet Penny; his wife Terri Moulton (Martinek); and also, Kevin Martinek, Angela and Ralph Vaught. He is also survived by his family and all those that were his friends.

He was surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with liver and esophageal cancer and pulmonary fibrosis from Covid.
