He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl "Ed" Andersen and Deloris "Dorye" Andersen (Arndt); his wife Judy Nicolai; and his brothers, David and Todd Andersen.

He is survived by: his children, Greg Andersen (Laura) of Eau Claire, Jeremy Andersen of Rice Lake and Ashley Pawlicki-Andersen of Chippewa Falls; his siblings, Terry Andersen of Eau Claire, Kristine Polenz of Eau Claire and Kathy Miezwa (Paul); and his granddaughters, Tessa, Rebecca, Natalie and Melanie.
