She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Schlecht and Kaplan; her husband Wendell Smith; and her siblings, Edward, Alvie Schlecht and Vlasta Ashby.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Smith of Elgin, IL and Cheryl Nyhus (Ken) of Chippewa Falls; her grandsons, Michael Nyhus of Chippewa Falls and Christopher Nyhus (Tessa) of Chippewa Falls; and her great grandchildren, Blakely, Veronica, Zack, Henry and Max Nyhus. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Landmark Christian Church.
