He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schlattman and Beatrice Schlattman (Vollhaber); his former wife Carol A. Lloyd; his wife Lois Lawrence; his sister Louise Tatuer; and his daughter-in-law Deb Schlattman.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Schlattman (Deb), Michael Schlattman and Greg Schlattman; his stepchildren, Peter Lawrence (Mariann), Susan Eide (John) and James Lawrence (Nikki); his granddaughter LaShawn; his stepgrandchildren, Jane (Alan), Jena (Dillon), David (Marcy), Krista, Zach, Jakob and Keanna; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kassidy, Connor, Carson, Chloe and Zoey; and his sister Marie Nelson (John). He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Olaf Catholic Church (3220 Monroe St, Eau Claire, WI 54703).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to an animal shelter of donor's choice.
