Leitha Louise Swanson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leitha Louise Swanson (Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin), who passed away on May 26, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thorwald Smith and Clara Smith (Holte); her husband Delmer Swanson of Saviour's Lutheran Church; and her siblings, Roger Smith (Betty), Steven Smith, Curtis Smith, Juel Smith (Janice), Alfred Smith (Carol), Jeanette Schwab (Norman) and Thelma Waterhouse (Norman).
She is survived by: her children, David Swanson of Bloomer, Kimberly Swanson of Madison and Sonja Leenhouts (Jon); her grandchildren, Hans Leenhouts (Makaila) of Chippewa Falls, Erik Leenhouts of Chippewa Falls and Keri Leenhouts of Chippewa Falls; and her siblings-in-law, Kathy Smith of Altoona, Bonnie Peterson of Sand Creek, Dennis Swanson (Janice) of New Hope, MN and Wesley Swanson (Karen) of Woodville. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services (44 E Columbia St, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Forest Hill Cemetery (514 E Columbia St, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Our House Memory Care, St. Croix Hospice, Christ Lutheran Church or the Chippewa Falls Area Senior Center.
