He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Derks and Veronica Derks (Wagner); his in-laws, Frank and Ellen Zwiefelhofer; and his siblings, Norman (Henrietta Derks), Helen (Luke Bowe), George Derks, Rose Marie Derks, Verona (Ronald Poirier), Dolores (Art Connor), Joyce Rogalski, James Derks and John Duane Derks.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Zwiefelhofer of Chippewa Falls; his daughters, Melinda Derks of Chippewa Falls and Michelle Hicks (Graham) of Rocklin, CA.; his grandchildren, Paige, Daniel, Scott, Andrew and Gabrielle; his sisters, Kathryn Haselwander (Neil) and Mary Kay Riley; his siblings-in-law, Joann Derks, Dale Derks, Diane Ruiz and Bob Rogalski; and his in-laws, James, Marion Zwiefelhofer, Diane Satter, Barb, Rudy Edwards, Kathy and Fred Langman. He is also survived by 25 nephews and 29 nieces.
