He is survived by: his children, Alice Schmidt, Donald Schmidt (Laurie), Bruce Schmidt, Keith Schmidt and Warren Schmidt (Jane); his siblings, Luella Amundson, Oscar Schmidt (Beverly), Louie Schmidt and Henry Schmidt (Gloria); and his siblings-in-law, David "Gus" Heft (Jan) and Sharai Hefty. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces, great nephews and great-nieces, cousins and many, many dear friends.
