He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Goetsch and Esther Goetsch (Fandrey); and his brother-in-law Paul Rosenow. He is survived by: his wife Mary Dieck; his children, Paul Goetsch (Brenda), Peter Goetsch (Heather), Julie Van Asten (Greg) and Amy Helmrick (Mike); his grandchildren, Thomas, Franklin and Josephine Goetsch; his children, Joshua (Madeline), Brianna, Kerstin Goestch, Peyton Hofer, Megan, Benjamin Van Asten, Alyssa, Jared and Adam Helmrick; and his sisters, Ruth Rosenow, Joy Messerschmidt (Mark), Sandra (David Rosenfeldt), Deborah (Roger Throndson) and Cynthia (Robert Stanislawski). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Chuck's memory are preferred to be directed to St. Martin Lutheran Church, Belle Plaine.
