He was predeceased by : his parents, Lyle Veleke and Helen Veleke (Greenfield). He is survived by : his wife Jodi; his daughter Kristin Deatherage-Veleke (Kimberly); and his sister Donna Cooper (Brad). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family welcomes donations to the Clintonville High School Instrumental Music Department or First Presbyterian Church of Shawano.
