He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Russell and Viola Ruth House (Howerton); his son Steven Michael House; his siblings, Barbara Melton, Betty Allison, Kathy Moon, Margaret Landers and George House; and his father-in-law Donald Schwenke.
He is survived by: his wife Darla K. Schwenke; his sons, Paul House (Vickie) of Collinsville, IL, Christopher House (Alyssa) of Collierville, TN and James House (Christina); his grandchildren, Michael, Gabriel, Zoe, Lennon, Ashleigh, Steven Christian and Addleigh; his siblings, Dorothy Kreiling of Forest City, IL, Patricia Schuchardt of Springfield, IL, Mary VanBebber of Springfield, IL., Russell House of Sun Prairie, WI and Rex House of Arizona; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Schwenke (Nancy), Daren Schwenke, Debbie Buchert (Dave), Diane Sauer (Rick) and Donna Abresh. He is also survived by Mother-in-law: Elverna Schwenke Many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Martin Lutheran Church (100 S Clinton Ave, Clintonville, WI 54929). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery (118 Church St, Embarrass, WI 54933).
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Walter's name are preferred to be directed to St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville.
