He was predeceased by: his son Michael Haney; his parents, Robert and Irene (Wicka); his brothers, Gerald Haney and Robert "Babe" Haney; his siblings-in-law, Eugene Thrune and Gladys Duellman; his son-in-law Jim Palkowski; and his niece Laura Mann.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Palkowski, Lynn Cothron and Lori Beckendorf (Tom); his wife Doris Merchlewitz; his grandchildren, Nickolas Palkowski (Ariel), Kelly Palkowski, Dalton Cothron, Sydney Cothron, Amanda Beckendorf and Mitchell (Morgan); his children, Landon, Liam and Nicole Beckendorf (Nate Beinborn); his siblings, Ronald Haney (Charlotte), Les Haney (Lorraine), Bonnie Thrune and Janice Voss; and his sisters-in-law, Diane Haney and Mary Haney.
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Cochrane VFW (100 Michaels St, Cochrane, WI 54622).
