She was predeceased by: her parents, Tollack Mageland and Ragna Mageland (Bergum); and her brother Harland Mageland. She is survived by: her husband Tilmer I. "Tim" Jacobson; her daughter Kathleen Schwoch (Kurt) of Dorchester; her son-in-law Terry Griffin of Janesville; her daughter Julie Griffin; and her siblings, Elaine Banta (Harry), Merlin Mageland (Lorraine), Verna Jacobson (Leonard), Donna Stillwell (Gerald) and Tollack R. Mageland (Betty). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (301 N 2nd St, Colby, WI 54426). A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ruth Ann's name may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church in Colby, the American Cancer Society, or the Colby School District for "Blessing in a Backpack."Ruth's arrangements are under the care of Life Tributes Funeral Home-Spencer.
