She was predeceased by: her parents, William Courchaine and Eva Courchaine (Noel); her husband Earl Smet; her stepfather Andrew Loberger; her grandchildren, Lisa Klatkiewicz, Pamela Lassanske and Wayne Smet; and her children-in-law, Ralph Liegeois and Bonnie Smet.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Smet, Danny Smet (Paula), Peter Smet (Debbie), Suzan Klatkiewicz (David), Sharon Liegeois, Bill Smet (Bobbie), Chuck Smet (Debbie), Kathy "Toots" Smet and Melody Heinke (Jon); and her sister Lillian Konitzer. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren with 1 on the way, 2 great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Betty to Kingdom Come Food Pantry 520 Locust Ave. Oconto Falls, WI. 54154.
