He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Samens and Jolan Samens (Erdely); his son Anthony; and his brothers, Steve and Richard "Dick" Samens.
He is survived by: his wife Barb (Geissler); and his sons, Terry (Cathy), Andy, Randy (Amber) and Greg. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
