He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Strand and Alba Strand (Tollefson); his sister Laila Markowski; and his brothers-in-law, Harold Runyon (Hal), Niles Mork and Frank Markowski.
He is survived by: his wife Mardell Strand (Mardy) of Colfax, WI; his children, Lisa Strand (Andy Gaylor) of Edgerton, WI and Michael Strand (Susanna) of Minneapolis, MN; his granddaughters, Gretta Strand, Eleanor Strand and Lily Gaylor; his siblings, Dagmar Runyon of Roseville, MN and Philip Strand (Anita); and his sisters-in-law, LeAnn Mork of Ridgeland, WI and Carolyn Mork of Wheeler, WI. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
