Eugene J. Frey Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene J. Frey of Columbus, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 23, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eugene J. Frey to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Frey and Clara Frey (Disterhaft); his son Todd; his sisters, Phyllis (Hamann) and Deloris (Behrendt); and his brothers-in-law, Eugene Hamann and George Behrendt.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Frey (Hauge) of Columbus; his children, Darvin Frey of Middleton, Eugenia Hees (Paul) of Beaver Dam, Amy Lauer (Jason) of Waukesha and Janel Voelker (Michael) of Beaver Dam; his grandchildren, Ashlynn Beck (Cauy), Alexis Goetsch, Micah Hees, Gabi Hees, Otto Voelker, Mary Voelker, Jayden Koopmans, Piper Frey, Beckham Frey, Mackenzie Lauer, Garret Lauer, Karter Lauer and Graham Lauer; and his great grandchildren, Paisley and Colter. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (120 Faith Dr, Columbus, WI 53925). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to The Historical Society of Columbus in memory of Gene.
