He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester William Schumann and Lorraine Nora Schumann (Sutliff); his brothers, Michael Warren Schumann Schumann (Arlene Mae (Erickson)), William Farrell Schumann and Patrick Edward Schumann; and his daughter-in-law Kristin R. Schumann (Kohlwey).
He is survived by: his wife Arlene Marie Hanson Schumann; his sons, Mark Arthur Schumann (Josephine Ann), Daniel Chester Schumann (Jill Ann) and Eric Graham Schumann; his grandchildren, Spencer John Schumann, Brooke Ellyn Schumann, Anthony David Schumann (Jenna Sether Schumann) and Paige Ann Schumann; his great grandchild Vincent Daniel Schumann; his siblings, Jeanne Mary Schumann Papania (Joseph Michael Papania), James Robert Schumann (Sharon Ann) and David Joseph Schumann; and his sisters-in-law, Janice Eva Bergman Schumann and Kristine Ann Lauterman Schumann. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
