He was predeceased by : his parents, Rodney Oliver and Mildred Oliver (Lobeck); his wife Rose Ann Rake (Oechsner); his brothers, Charles and Donald; his niece Cathleen; and his stepson Tom Rake.

He is survived by : his nephew Rodney; his nieces, Jill Jackson (Jack) and Julie Scalissi (Ron); his sister-in-law Shirley Fogo; his stepchildren, David Rake (Ann), Karen Derr (Mike), Karol Larson and Gregg Rake (David); and his stepdaughter-in-law Diane Rake. He is also survived by 3 grandnieces; 1 grandnephew; 12 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grand nephews; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
