He was predeceased by: his father Howard Nordby; his grandparents, Cassius, Grace Persinger, Harland, Edna Nordby, Joyce and Edward Jabs; and his aunts and uncles, Nancy Nordby, Mary Persinger, Gary, Donald, Lester Persinger and Henry Jabs.

He is survived by: his mother Sue Nordby (Persinger); his wife Sarah Nordby (Ellestad); his daughter Alanna Crews; his cousin Shashene Bethel-Persinger (Julian Bethel); his aunt Tami Persinger; his parents-in-law, Terry and Debbie Ellestad; and his pets, Gus and Sophia.

Memorials in Jesse's name may be made to the UW Carbone Cancer Center.
