The memory of Lyle W. Elske Sr. of Columbus, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 22, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Elske and Dorothy Elske (Hempel); his wife Louise; and his brother Dean. He is survived by: his children, Lyle (Jenny), Lon Elske (Amy) of Columbus and Lynnette Steinhauser (Bret) of Norfolk, NE; his grandchildren, Drew Steinhauser (Sierra), Julia Elske, Charlotte Elske, Meredith Elske, Molly Elske and Sydney Elske; his sister Judith Erickson (James) of Watertown; and his sister-in-law Sharon Elske of Watertown. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Columbus United Methodist Church (222 S Dickason Blvd, Columbus, WI 53925).
