He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Hjelle and Lucile Hjelle (Hanson); his sister Lois Kluge (John); his mother-in-law June Larson; and his brother Jon Owens.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Stouffer; his children, Melissa Lambrecht (Greg) and Matthew Hjelle (Beth); his grandchildren, Prycen Hjelle, Addison and Autumn Lambrecht; his siblings-in-law, Dave Stouffer, John Stouffer (Debra) and Gayle Knetter (Ralph); and his nieces and nephews, Tracy Vesper (Dan), Jason Stouffer (Michelle), Adam Kluge, Sara O'Dea (Patrick), Andrea Froehlich and Lisa Conrad.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Skinner Funeral Homes - Cumberland (1245 1st Ave, Cumberland, WI 54829). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
