He is survived by: his wife Aline (Houghtaling); his children, Andrew Hess (Vicky), Kylie Berger (Jayme), Nathan Houghtaling (Josefina) and Kandis Houghtaling (Jeff Taylor); his grandson Brock Hoskins (Lonale); his siblings, Carrie Mack (Neil), Ron Hess (Shawn) and Ann Winkers (Brent); and his in-laws, Shirley Soltau, Carol Olson (Tom), Dianne Buros and Alaine Abrams (Jerry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
