He was predeceased by : his parents, Warren W. Boettcher and Betty Jean Boettcher (Norris); and his wife Carolin Swartout. He is survived by : his children, Bart Boettcher (Lynn Stipek) of Menomonie and Heather Boettcher Duffy (Brandon) of Jim Falls; his grandchildren, Tyra Boettcher, Brett Boettcher, Braya Duffy and Haily Duffy; and his siblings, Bonnie Briggs (Bob) of Lexington, KY and Craig Boettcher. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“To the family of Earl, I was so very sadden to read of his passing. I just found out today when the fall 2021 addition of the Palmer Proud magazine arrived. Although it’s been over 50 years since we were at Palmer and pounded the hardwoods together, I’ll forget what a great teammate, classmate and friend Earl was. He was someone you could always count on. Sadly, he will be missed. Happily, know that he’s already into his next assignment. I hope you enjoy the photo!”
