He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schyndel and Genevieve Van Schyndel (DeBruin); his siblings, Robert Van Schyndel, Henry Jr. Van Schyndel, Betty Dorman (Dick), Joseph and Mary; his parents-in-law, Gustav and Emily Lohoff; and his brother-in-law Donald Lohoff.
He is survived by: his pets, Silver, Kiska, Nimbus, Kohlby Jack, Cajun, Samson and Micah; his wife Marie Van Schyndel; his children, Dan Van Schyndel (Dawn), Brian Van Schyndel, Bruce Van Schyndel (Lisa), Julie Van Schyndel (Brian) and Holly Nixon; his stepson Dan Richter (Liz); his grandchildren, Trevor Van Schyndel (Miranda), Nathan Van Schyndel (Jessica), Tyler Van Schyndel (Brittany), Ashlee Van Schyndel, Jeremy Van Schyndel (Mandy), Adam Van Schyndel, Mandy Van Schyndel (Tyler Fiancé), Kristen Green, Brandon Van Schyndel (Chyanne), Bryce Nixon (Lisa) and Blake Nixon; his stepgrandchildren, Mattea Arndt (Joe), Jade Jedwabny (Josh), Logan Jedwabny (Kaitlyn), Hailey, Kylie, Lexie Richter, Petey, Eli, Helena, Caleb and Giovanni; his great grandchildren, Aubree, Chloee Van Schyndel Ella (Baby Van Schyndel), Griffin, William, Benjamin, Trenton, Tenley, Talon, Emma, Tay Van Schyndel, Bentley, Berkley Remter, Tatum Lauson, Brynn and Raelynn; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Koski and Lynn Van Schyndel.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (716 Henriette Ave, Crivitz, WI 54114). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
