He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Rice and Mabel Rice (Moore). He is survived by: his sister Janet Vorndran of Haverstraw, N. Y.; his sibling's children, Rick Vorndran (family: N. Y.) and Paula Reestman (family: Mesa, Ariz); Lori Cirves (family: Wis).

Gene's life may be honored by making a charitable contribution to any nature conservancy organization.
