She is survived by: her husband Ronald Hankel; her children, Malachi Hankel and Chelsea Mikkelson (Chris); her granddaughter Irene Grace Mikkelson; her stepsister Patti Wiersma (Dan); and her cousin Kathy Pappenfuss (Dennis).
In lieu of flowers, her family has requested memorial contributions to the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry or NAMI Wisconsin.
