She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Wells and Carol Wells (Drury); and her siblings, Barbara Martens and Craig Nabbefeld. She is survived by: her husband John Cole; her children, Matt, Scott Laszewski (Jill), Jeni Laszewski and Jayne Laszewski (Adam Youngbar); her grandchildren, Kylie, Laine, Zack and Wyatt; and her brother-in-law Bob Martens.

Karen enjoyed knitting and donating blankets, mittens, hats, sweaters and more to hospitals, shelter, churches, and other organizations.
