He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Virnig and Loretta Virnig (Schneeweis); his brother Ronald Virnig; and his grandson Eric Virnig. He is survived by: his wife Ardis Simpson; his children, Marianne Gernetzke (Tom), Joe Virnig and Bill Virnig (Christine); his siblings, Paul Virnig (Eunice), Edward Virnig (Patty), Barbara Jensen (Jim) and Rita Daniels (James); his sister-in-law Jean Virnig (Ronald); and his grandchildren, John, Mark, Rachel, Samantha Virnig, Michael and Norah Gernetzke.
