He was predeceased by: his parents, John Piechocki and Florence Piechocki; his stepfather Joseph Murphy; his siblings-in-law, Elda, Warren, Clinton and Jack; his friend SSgt Ryan Blair; and also, Clark and Florence Tanner.
He is survived by: his wife Ruthanne; his siblings, J. Patrick Murphy, Michael Murphy (Pam), Timothy Murphy (Sally), John Richards (Lori), Marjorie Schwenke (Roger), Maureen Harrigan (Pat) and Andrew Murphy (Jeanne); his siblings-in-law, Mary Windsor (Greg), Karen Tanner and Terry Tanner (Rose); and his nephew Pat. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Tom and Ruthanne's request is to donate to the School Sisters of Notre Dame or plant a tree in his honor.
