He is survived by: his wife Joan Petitgoue of Cuba City, WI; his children, Michele Walch (Scott) of Peachtree Corners, GA, Mark Petitgoue of Milwaukee, WI and Ryan Petitgoue of Cuba City, WI; his grandchildren, Tyler Walch (Stephanie), Jacob Walch, Zack Walch, Bailey O'Malley (Connor), Foster Petitgoue and Logan Petitgoue; his sister Carol Dotzel of Stillman Valley, IL; and his brother-in-law Mike Pandow (Lisa) of Waunakee, WI..
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Rose of Lima Church (519 W Roosevelt St, Cuba City, WI 53807). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Michael's Cemetery (472 Bouthillier St, Galena, IL 61036).
His contributions to basketball were legendary—he was the winningest coach in Wisconsin boys basketball history with 1, 027 career victories.
