He was predeceased by : his parents, Friedrich Malik and Irma Malik (Hopp); and his sisters, Ute Haugh and Brigitte Fischer. He is survived by : his wife Pamela Peeke; his children, Erika Weber (Joe) of Chula Vista, CA, Andrew Malik (Lisa) of Montgomery, TX, Ursula Russo (Vito) of Brookfield, WI and Karl Malik (Renee) of Waunakee, WI; his grandchildren, Hunter, Harrison, Gracee Weber, Jacob, Zachariah (Kelli), Rebekah Willis (Austin), Caleb, Selah, JoJo, Hans Malik, Milla, Hugh Malik, Olivia, Natalie and Giovanni Russo; and his sister Heidi Schmetzer (Karl) of Germany. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of plants & flowers a Gunter Malik Memorial Fund has been established.
