We are sad to announce that on July 26, 2025, at the age of 96, Obert D. Nygaard (Cudahy, Wisconsin), born in Pierpont, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Nygaard and Sena Nygaard; his siblings, Milton Nygaard (Bonnie) and Ann Atkielski (Erv); his brothers-in-law, Richard and Thomas Butzlaff; his granddaughter Sarah Nygaard; Alfred and Catherine Butzlaff.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Butzlaff; his children, Kurt Nygaard (Kimberly), Kristin Coulthurst (Michael), Kelly Nygaard, William Nygaard (Sherry), James Nygaard (Tammy) and Andrew Nygaard (Andrea); his grandchildren, Allison Nygaard, Leslie Nygaard, Annette Ehlke (Mark), Natalie Coulthurst, Spencer Coulthurst (Kelsey), Bennett Nygaard, Lauren Nygaard, Bryce Nygaard, Grace Nygaard, Holly Paarfusser (Craig), Logan Nygaard (Heather), Robyn Bennett (Alex), Jacob Nygaard (Rachel), Lucas Nygaard (Lizzie), Erik Nygaard (Jillian), Matthew Nygaard and Faith Nygaard; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Caiden, Ayla, Elsie Ehlke, Mia Coulthurst, Mason, Jonah Paarfusser, Oliver, Marlene Nygaard, Jay, Bennett, June and Silas Nygaard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
