He was predeceased by : his parents, William Kohn and Dorothy Kohn; his brother Gary Kohn; and his parents-in-law, Lynn Skjeveland and Gladys Skjeveland.

He is survived by : his wife Valarie Kohn (Skjeveland); his children, Dr. Eric Kohn (Sara) of Sartell, MN, Erin Bieniek (Tony) of Centennial, CO and Elissa Robinson of Rochester, MN.; his grandchildren, Olivia of Jackson, JR, Alexander, Carter, Andrew, Brady, Liam and Annabelle; his great grandchild Obadiah; his sister Mary Herring of Rochester, MN.; his aunts, Gloria Adell and Donna Betcher; his nieces, Kristen and Kendra; and his nephew Kyle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to St. Anthony's Catholic Church Capital Campaign at PO Box 548, Cumberland, WI 54829.

“I was very sorrow to hear about Richard's death. I had such a nice talk with Richard at our last two class reunion. He told me that living by the lake was so much his dream . That Val and him were so excited when they found this place. He told me how he enjoys having his families at the lake. I want to give my sympathy to ALL his FAMILY.. Peace to ALL.
