It is with sadness that the passing of Mary A. Schmitz of Dale, Wisconsin is shared. Mary, born on June 13, 1929, passed away on August 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Mary will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Mary by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Mary is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Mary’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Heidi Rutherford; and her siblings, Dorothy Leisch (Sonny) and Lee Nelson (Mary). She is survived by: her husband Dale "Buster" Schmitz; her children, Joel Schmitz (Krista) and Nancy Voorhees (Phil); her grandchildren, Analee Francisco (Lorenze) and Samuel Voorhees (Tori); and her great grandchildren, Genevieve, Fiona and Diesel. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church - Lindstrom (13025 Newell Ave, Lindstrom, MN 55045). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
