He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Jennifer Esser, Derek Ripp, Cass (Pat) and Corinna Schell (Ryan); his granddaughters, Cailynn, Carleigh, Cadence and Camryn; his siblings, Keith Ripp (Lori), Colleen Pertzborn (Ken), Kevin Ripp (Karen) and Chris Schaeffer (Chuck); his close friend Bryan Holliday (Daryl); and his in-laws, Karl Howard (Judy), Scott Moll (Diane), Jennifer Bolan (Tim) and Gail Milne (Bob).
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home (2929 Peaceful Valley Parkway, Waunakee, WI 53597). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Springfield Inn (6136 County Rd P, Dane, WI 53529).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dane-Vienna Firefighters Association Inc, Lodi Agricultural Fair or the Sauk County Fair.
