He was predeceased by : his father Edward Hellenbrand. He is survived by : his mother Charlene Hellenbrand (Janet Holmes); and his siblings, Lynn Rohde (Scott), Gina Johnson (Stan), Sandy Frankland (Mike), Judy Adler (Scott), Patrick Hellenbrand, Jenny Smithback (Jon) and Kari Kruchten (Dan). He is also survived by 18 nieces & nephews, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Russ's memory at a later date.
