He is survived by: his parents, Donald Ruf and Janis Ruf (Matley); his significant other Theresa McCarthy (McDonald); his daughters, Megan Singh (Amarinder) and Cassandra McCarthy; his brothers, Alan Ruf (Janice) and Bart Whitmore-Ruf (Paul); his mother-in-law Camilla McDonald (Craugh); and his siblings-in-law, John McDonald (Teresa), Alice Knutson (Wayne), Francis "Bud" McDonald (Janice), Sara Martens (Joe), Kathleen Lucey (Bruce), Susan McDonald (Gary Ostertag), Elizabeth McDonald (Ahmed Alshawi), Colleen Miner (Jeremy) and Christopher McDonald (Stephanie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
